There are subtitles in Japanese; there is no menu and no way to remove them, but of course there is not much dialog in this motion picture. Has an authenticity hologram on front. May be 1999 or 2000. Indicated on spine as a "video cd" and when you put it in your DVD player it will show "DCD" and then you have to hit play. I checked both discs in my own player and everything was fine.
