Vintage original 27x41 in. US "Style B" one-sheet poster from the popular 1980's Hollywood-themed action comedy/romance, THE STUNT MAN, released in 1980 by 20th Century-Fox and directed by Richard Rush. Peter O'Toole stars as a fugitive who stumbles onto a movie set just when they need a new stunt man, takes the job as a way to hide out, and falls for the leading lady (Barbara Hershey). The cast includes Steve Railsback, Allen Goorwitz, Alex Rocco, Adam Roarke, Sharon Farrell, Philip Bruns, and Chuck Bail. The design on this "Style B" one-sheet features a stylized image of a nude male devil (a symbolic rendering of Peter O'Toole as "Eli Cross") who is seated on a motion picture camera dolly as he looks through the viewfinder of a 35mm motion picture camera with one hand on the matte box while his spear-tipped tail wraps around to the front of him, all of which is complimented against a jet-black background. The film's title beneath the artwork evokes the image of a film slate. Unrestored and folded as originally issued, this vintage original one-sheet is in fine+ condition with large random creases along the right border; very small scattered creases from handling only; and random signs of light wear along the bottom edge. The are no pinholes, tears, stains, or other flaws.
