Item description

This brand new special edition dvd is Out Of Print and no longer being manufactured. It offers both fullscreen and widescreen versions and has a heavy duty gatefold (shut with velcro) slipsleeve cover. Walt Disney's most elaborate and expensive animated feature (at the time) is actually a simple, straightforward telling of the classic fairy tale, with music adapted from Tchaikovsky, and such memorable characters as Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather (the three good fairies) and the evil witch Maleficent. Highlight: the final, fiery conrontation between Maleficent and Prince Phillip. Strikingly designed (in widescreen) by artist Eyvind Earle. And the film took 4 directors to produce: Clyde Geronimi, Eric Larson, Wolfgang Reitherman, and Les Clark.
