Item description

Shop Name: winebeerglasses Welcome to my shop! My shop name is the same as my former Etsy shop, where I proudly maintained a perfect 5-star customer rating for five years. I left Etsy due to poor customer support and migrated to Bonanza, where I continue offering high-quality, expertly serviced timepieces. For more selections, visit my Bonanza shop: winebeerglasses on Bonanza Watch Description: This vintage Longines automatic watch, likely made in the late 1950s or early 1960s, features the iconic Longines 19A movement, a true testament to the craftsmanship of that era. In terms of quality, Longines in the 50s and 60s rivaled the likes of Omega, and you can feel that when handling the watch. The watch retains its original dial, hands, and movement. The case and bracelet, however, are sourced from an authentic Seiko 5 automatic watch, and the display back offers a beautiful view of the highly decorated movement—a hallmark of Longines' legendary quality. Case Dimensions: Diameter: 35mm (excluding crown) Lug to Lug: 40mm Thickness: 11.5mm The bracelet fits wrists up to 6.5 inches comfortably, though I can also provide a two-tone Jubilee bracelet (as shown in the last two images) for a more flexible fit. Performance: This watch keeps excellent time, and it’s incredible to see how well a watch made over 60 years ago still runs. The automatic winding mechanism is unique in that it winds both ways, a design far ahead of its time. It operates with a silky smooth winding feel, making it a true pleasure to wear. Watchmaking Expertise: I build and restore vintage automatic watches as a hobby, combining my knowledge of precision engineering and aesthetic design. Each timepiece I restore is freshly lubricated, timegrapher regulated, and thoroughly cleaned, ensuring it maintains full functionality and optimal performance. I do not use Chinese-made parts—even the spring bars are Swiss-made. Dial Case Condition: The dial has aged beautifully, with some natural aging spots that only add to its character. In my opinion, this timeworn beauty makes the watch even more appealing. The yellow gold-tone case adds a vintage elegance, and I’ve paired it with a gold-tone Seiko vintage bracelet, which requires hand-fitting of the end pieces. Wearing this watch feels akin to using a Leica M camera—it’s refined, sophisticated, and sure to elevate your style. Water Resistance: As with most vintage automatic watches, please note this is NOT water-resistant. The case has an O-ring in the back and crown, but I recommend keeping it away from water entirely. Accuracy: While vintage automatic watches are typically considered accurate if they stay within +- 4 minutes per day, this one performs better than that, ensuring it’s a reliable companion on your wrist. Warranty Service: The sale is final, but I offer free maintenance for three months. If any issues arise, simply return the watch to me (buyer covers one-way shipping), and I’ll repair it and ship it back to you for free. Shipping Protection: Free shipping within the US via USPS, and I will include extra insurance at no additional cost to ensure the full value of your watch is protected during transit. Final Thoughts: In a world increasingly dominated by electronics, there’s something uniquely satisfying about wearing a mechanical watch. The 60s and 70s were the pinnacle of watchmaking design, with meticulous mechanical craftsmanship that’s hard to find in today's mass-produced digital world.
