Colors are Vivid. MARGE FAUCHER (20th Century) Marge Faucher is an American western artist based in the Los Gatos town of Northern California. Her study in art began at a youthful age. After receiving a scholarship to the Abbot Art School in Washington DC, Marge furthered her art career with study at Baylor University and Richmond University in Richmond Virginia. Los Gatos is among a number of small Northern California towns which have produced many fine artists. In addition to San Francisco, others towns such as Sausalito, Monterey and Santa Cruz also have tight knit art communities. Los Gatos helped shape Marge Faucher's work, but she always drew her inspiration from childhood memories of hope, freedom and joy. Even the colors, she feels, should reflect the natural beauty of childhood. Marge's work hangs in collections and galleries worldwide.
