Item description

Catalog Number: SP-69814 Condition Details: Still in ORIGINAL SHRINK-WRAP (opened), with HYPE-STICKER. Import from Canada. Vinyl plays with occasional light-crackles (play-graded). Cover looks great; a couple creases near edges; no scuffing on front; light-scuffing near left where shrink is missing and slight discoloration on back. Inner-sleeve is original (poly-lined paper with A M logo); bottom seam partially split. Spine is easy-to-read with very mild-wear. Little shelf-wear along top/bottom-edge; minor wear to corners. Opening is crisp with signs of light use and a few divots. (Not a cut-out.) Tracks: No Love For Free Travel So Far Steppin' Out Dry Land Cool Blue Stole My Heart Get In Touch With Jesus Body To Dust Back To The Night So Good Let's Go Dancing Come When You Need Me About The Record: Musically, the album shows a development of the mood of Armatrading's first album Whatever's for Us, and explores different aspects of her talent and musical leanings, as it encompasses elements of folk, jazz, calypso and up-tempo songs. Because of this a number of musicians were hired, so they could reflect the variety of styles Armatrading was coming up with. The album features some experienced musicians, notably Jean Roussel, Colin Pincott, and Andy Summers. The album was promoted on tour with a six-piece jazz-pop group called The Movies. The title track and Dry Land were released as singles.
