With an inscription to author Edwin Corle from Henry Miller: "For Edwin Corle with illustrious gratification. Which language next? Hebrew, perhaps. Henry Miller 11/13/54." In 1949 Edwin Corle wrote an introduction in a book by the same name which was published by New York: Duell, Sloan Pearce in 1948. It had 6 illustrations by famous French painters. Uncommon inscribed and this is a great association copy. First Japanese edition. With neatly trimmed mailing label to Miller, Big Sur laid in. 1st Japanese edition.. Inscribed By Author, and with mailing label to Miller as shown from Charles E. Tuttle Bookseller in Japan to Big Sur where Miller lived.
