Ford radios manufactured by Delco are known for bad button wear. Don't let a worn out looking radio drag your vehicle down. Get your replacement faceplate from ReplacementRadios. If you're in need of a face for the Delco CD6 radio in your 2007/2008 Ford or Mercury vehicle because of worn buttons, you've come to the right place. This is a brand new trimplate with brand new lens and buttons. The buttons are all black. This is not the chrome-trimmed version. You can use many of these buttons on the CD and CD/Cassette radios too. The presets, seek, text, am-fm and cd buttons are the same, for instance, and those are the ones that usually wear on the other radios. So simply swap those into your face and you're good to go. (The eject button is definitely different from the CD radios. Other buttons not addressed in this paragraph may or may not be the same.) We sometimes include a 'parts' circuit board behind the face simply to keep everything in place but please understand, if included, it is for parts only and is not guaranteed to be functional. (Sometimes we use cardboard or other types of retainers to keep the buttons in place too.) You are buying a faceplate and buttons only. The board, if included, is for button retention only. Please do not buy this listing if your only need is the board because it is not guaranteed to be included. (Or functional, if it is attached.) This can ONLY be used on Delco manufactured Ford 6CD radios and your vehicle must also be a 2007-2008 with an engineering number matching one of those below*. This is NOT compatible with the Visteon or Pioneer manufactured Ford radios. If your radio has button wear, you probably have a Delco because that was an INCREDIBLY common problem with them. However, if you want to be sure, pull your radio and confirm it does not say Pioneer or Visteon on any of the stickers. And that it does have an 8-digit numeric part number above the Ford number on the sticker. This is NOT the same as the 2006 and older version. Make sure you're matching your number and ordering the right thing. APPLICATIONS This face was most commonly found on radios from 2007-2008. But there are some exceptions. Here are some radio numbers we know can use this face. Application appears after the part number but do NOT assume you have the part number shown just because your year and model are listed. Ford used three different radio manufacturers and, even though the radios looked the same from the face, none of the parts are interchangeable. Some vehicles from a given year and model may have the Delco radio while others from that exact same year and model may have the Visteon version. Make sure to match the part number on YOUR radio!! It is usually OK for the very last letter to differ (GA vs GB, for instance) but it is not safe to assume it will work for you if you have a difference elsewhere in your part number (GA vs HA, for instance) or a part number starting with a different number (7 vs 8, for instance.) If you do not feel comfortable attempting this replacement or are not qualified to perform the replacement you should seek an electronics shop that will do it for you or ask us about sending it in for us to do it. We can tell you that you MUST disconnect the negative battery terminal or remove the plugs from the back of the radio and let it sit for at least 60 minutes BEFORE you attempt to do any work on the radio.
