Item description

Senator Eugene McCarthy of Minnesota ran as one of the Democratic candidates for the 1968 campaign for President. After Senator Robert Kennedy's assassination, the party was in turmoil. Held in Chicago, the convention was marked with demonstrations and rioting. McCarthy lost to the party's eventual nominee, Hubert H. Humphrey. This souvenir pin is NOT a reproduction. The colors are light and dark blue with white background. The backside of the pin is clean without rust. Measures 1 1/2" diam Look for other campaign memorabilia in my booth.
