VINTAGE SEWING PATTERNS FOR BABY, 18 INCH, AND TEEN DOLLS Doll Clothes Patterns Brooke Shields 15 - 20 Inch Baby Dolls 18 Inch Dolls Simplicity Patterns Made in USA McCalls There are 5 different pattern sets in this lot. Simplicity 7208, dated 1975 for 15 to 16 inch baby dolls. It is missing piece T, the front of the romper in view number 4. Some pieces are completely cut out, some are not yet cutout. Simplicity 5733, dated 2002 for 18 inch dolls. It is complete, approximatley 1/2 the pattern pieces have been cut out, and the other half have not yet been cutout. These are suitable for the American Girl dolls. Simplicity 9508, dated 1980 for 18 to 20 inch baby dolls. Almost all the pattern pieces have been cut out, with only a few that have not yet been cutout. McCalls 6366, dated 1978 for 15 1/2 and 17 1/2 inch baby dolls. Although complete, piece number 15 has been torn in half down the center, both pieces are there, and can be taped back together if needed. Again most of the pieces have been cutout with only a few that have not yet been cutout. McCalls 8727, dated 1983 for the Brooke Shields Doll. It is missing piece number 18, which is for a strap. It does have the iron transfer with Brooke Shields name on it included, and the applique pattern piece (number 5) is pinned to piece number 14. Again most of the pieces have been cut out with only a few that have not yet been cut. These can also be used for most Barbie type teen dolls with slight modifications. All the envelopes have wear, discoloration, tears at the flap area, and light foxing. The tissue paper pattern pieces are in overall good condition, except as mentioned. Some the tissue paper around some of the pieces that have not yet been cut out is torn, but not in the pattern pieces themselves. If someone is into making doll clothes for vintage dolls these would be a great addition to a pattern library. I would just suggest you photocopy the pattern pieces before use, then use the photocopies as oppossed to the tissue paper copies. The envelopes could also be framed and used to display as wall art in a craft room.
