These memorial plates were designed when we lost our beloved bulldog, Sadie, on March 1, 2011, using the poem "God Only Takes The Best". By customer request, we have now added several other poems for those of you who have more than one pet, or would like a different selection of poems, and have also added the hearts border for those who have pets that don't have paw prints or if you would like this for a human. The poem is laser etched on your choice of a gold or silver aluminum plate, which is weather resistant and won't fade. The plate consists of two layers. The laser machine cuts through the first layer, exposing the black layer beneath it. This is preferable to many people, as the black print shows clearly against the gold or silver plate. It is ideal for framing, where you can place the poem on one side, and your pet?s picture on the other. We offer many frame options for this plate which you can view in my store (see link at the bottom of the page). The plate has pressure sensitive adhesive on the back, so you just peel and stick (if needed). These also make a beautiful and heartfelt gift for someone you know that is grieving. The poems can be done in singular or plural versions, replacing the words "we" with the word "I" and vice versa. Please be sure to state if you want these changes when you submit your engraving information or the plate will be engraved exactly as shown on the listing. If you have a non-paw print pet, or would like to use these for a human, you can choose to use the hearts border instead of the paw prints. Be sure to let me know if it is for a human so the text can be adjusted if necessary. Your pet's name and date of death will be engraved on the plate. If your pet's name was five letters or less, we can put it inside the heart shape, if desired, unless the plate states outside of the heart specifically. For pet's with names that had six or more letters, the name and date will be engraved in the lower right corner. If you are ordering a smaller plate (3x5 or 4x6), we typically place the name and dates BELOW the heart shape as it just looks better on the smaller plates. If you do not want the name below the heart, you need to include this in your engraving information. If the name of your pet is outside of the heart, we can also include the date of birth, if you want both dates. The plates are available in sizes 3x5; 4x6; 5x7 or 8x10. Also be sure to check your email once you have made the purchase in case there are questions with the engraving.
