This is a C.A. Myers Vintage Sewing Awl “The Awl For All” (#5541). Comes in the original box, with two needles, wrench one spool of thread and the full directions inside box. Extra needles and wrench store inside handle that screws to open. This is the Awl that meets every condition for a handy tool to mend old or new harness. Indispensable for repairing Saddle, Gun Cases, Suit Cases, Shoes, Carpets, Grain Bags, Burlap, Awnings, Pulley Belts, Buggy and Auto Tops. Can be used to sew up Wire Cuts on Horses and Cattle. Before sewing always soak old or dry leather in water same as harnessmakers and shoemakers do. Patent No. 2060349. It was made in 7007 N. Glenwood Ave., Chicago, Illinois, U.S.A.
