Item description

Axis Communications PoE Splitter. Use this at the Device end of a PoE Cable run to power a non-PoE compliant 12v Camera or other device. Good used condition, and guaranteed to work. The Axis Communications 0227-001 is a PoE splitter compatible with most AXIS network cameras, servers and other network devices. A PoE splitter does the exact opposite of a PoE injector. Instead of combining power and data, it splits the power and data coming over the network into two separate transmissions. By using a PoE injector at the source end and a PoE splitter at the receiving end, a single Ethernet cable can be used to supply both power and data to network cameras that are not PoE compatible. This greatly simplifies the installation process, allowing non PoE cameras to be placed in areas inaccessible to an AC outlet. When used together with a UPS, PoE will also keep the camera operating in the event of a localized power failure.
