Item description

Up for sale is a large 5.5 inch ammonite fossil from Morocco. Ammonites are a type of extinct mollusk related to the nautilus. They lived in schools and are probably one of the most abundant fossils on earth. They lived between 240 - 66 million years ago and became extinct at the end of the Cretaceous period, when the dinosaurs became extinct. This large ammonite fossil would make a great conversation piece, teaching tool for science, and would be great for fossil collectors, young or old.
