Item description

Natural 6.5" abalone shells collected in the Pacific Ocean with beautiful iridescent colors in shades of blue-green, silver and pink! ***These abalone shells are composed primarily of calcium carbonate, which was deposited in thin overlapping layers. Reflected light from these layers causes the colorful iridescence, which is often referred to as mother-of-pearl. These shells were Ethically collected in the Pacific Ocean after the animal moved out of the shell or died of natural causes. Main picture was taken inside under fluorescent lights, additional photos and video was taken outside under indirect sunlight, no filters or color enhancement was used on any pictures or video.
