First annual Vibe Awards program, event held at Santa Monica, California Civic Auditorium. Hop hop inspired awards event in 2003. We haven't been able to find much about the event, possibly it was not continued after that year. The program appears to be rare, it's about 8-1/2" by 11, in good used condition with a few creases. About the event: Some stars present include cast members from A4// Of Us i.e., Duane Martin, LisaRaye, Elise Neal, Khamani Griffin, Terri J. Vaughn and Tony Rock. The winners were Russell Simmons, The VX Award; Jay-Z, The TUBIG Award; P. Diddy, The Style Maverick Award; R. In love, etc. The theme for the evening was VIBE AWARDS: BEATS, STYLE, FLAVOR. The show was co-produced by Vibe Magazine, Flavor Unit Television and White.
