Models of Yesteryear Y-7 1930 Ford Model A Wreck Truck. This is a 1:43 scale model. Made by Matchbox International Limited. Circa 1984. The colors of this fine truck are metallic orange body with black chassis and roof, and orange solid wheels with white wall tires and green crane. This wreck truck is based on the Model A Ford. Often a small garage requiring a breakdown vehicle would use the chassis of an old large car, it can get out with a simple angle iron voiced and hand operated winch. Many of these vehicles lasted many years in service. This wreck truck was powered by a 4 cylinder 2 liter engine with a wheelbase of 8 feet 8 inches (2.64 m).
