The actual watch is well built and arrived as advertised. The band quality does not match the quality of the watch, but that's easy to fix.
I recommend this watch as a quality everyday watch and as a unique collectible.

Absolutely as described. Its a simple watch so you get what you pay for, but thats what i wanted. don't be in a hurry for it to arrive, it has to travel a long way. Totally happy with the purchase.
Love the watch as everyone else does. Excellent blue color of the dial, historic case design, and classic scuba dude.
The watch bracelet is decent - not as bad as everyone says. Overall, it adds to the novelty of the watch.
It keeps pretty good time so far, just a little fast, but definitely within spec.
This is the watch the character Steve Zissou (played by Bill Murray) wears in "The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou." It's a very inexpensive automatic dive watch. This is not a Rollie. In fact, you could buy over 200 of these for what a single Rolex Submariner or Blancpain FF sells for, so if you're expecting luxury watch finishing, prepared to be disappointed. This is a smash mouth, blood and guts dive watch that's good for keeping time and that's it. Also, it can keep time underwater. However, the bezel is utterly worthless as a countdown timer or for deco timing, so if you're using this as a true dive watch, you'd better be packing a computer. Even still, it's a 10/10 for this Wes Anderson fan.
The Life Aquatic is my favorite movie, so it makes sense that I would buy the Zissou watch. The original has a black face, but I just couldn't resist the blue and gold. The timepiece is stunning. The face glows cobalt in the sun, and the lollipop second hand sweeps beautifully over the anchor and ship's wheel. I will buy the same piece in black as soon as I can pick it up.

Beautiful high quality time piece
I was not expecting a watch that keeps time as accurately as this does. In the past I have only bought Swiss watches, such as Omega and Rolex. This was to be a beater, but it turned out to be an accurate little watch. The band is not as good as it could be, but for the price who can complain.

They do sell the same watch with a rubber strap, so I would advise anyone to get that instead, to save the time as you will need to replace it!
For under $70US, a great inexpensive, unique addition to your watch collection. You will probably be the only person in your area that had one or knows what it is.
Not high horology, but a fun "beater" for less that $70US. I love the color of the dial. Link removal and adjustment was very easy.
?????? have a real gem here, even without the history and storied past this watch is something special. In a world full of 'me-too' copies and over-the-top features it is refreshing to have a tool that is simple, elegant and practical. I love the foibles and quirks of this watch - character is not easily bought and it cannot be faked, and the Amphibia proves that it doesn't have to cost a fortune either. Is it the most accurate watch in the world? - no, is it the most featured? - no, and you know what ... I don't care, this watch just makes me smile! I would recommend this watch to anyone with a soul, a sense of style and anyone who just wants something different.

I have a friend who is obsessed with the movie The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou. This was the watch worn by Bill Murray in the film and so it makes a perfect kind of off-the-wall gift for him. I wanted to keep it for myself so I’ll probably order another. The over-the -top aquatic accents are awesome.

Was looking for the watch worn in the movie The Life Aquatic by Steve Zissou, and found it here. The bezel does not ratchet, the date is not quickset, and the crown has a strange 'play' to it when setting (this is expected), but this knowledge would not have changed my decision. Exactly what I wanted.

Fantastic watch at the price point. Fun and quirky. This is my fifth Vostok and I would highly recommend giving them a try. Be prepared to swap out the strap which is the weak point. They are rugged and reliable with a plethora of dial styles to choose from. A great choice for someone who wants something a little different and a timepiece that you won't see on everyone's wrist. This particular model is known as the Zissou due to it being worn by the actor Bill Murray in the Wes Anderson movie "The Life Aquatic ".
I have several Boktok watches, this is my first 420 case. I love it!! It has managed to shift my mighty tuna off my wrist for the first time in ages. Looks FANTASTIC and keeps great time. What more do you want for 60 bucks. Highly recommend Boktok, many friends have become fans of this great company and its products. 5 stars

I wanted a green faced watch and went for the mechanical Komandirskie and not a auto. Not a issue for me as I don't wear the same watch everyday and won't swim in it.
Don't expect sapphire, stainless steel 200mtrs WR and a good strap. But your not buying this as your daily wearer, get the auto versions for that. It is comfortable, this has the leather strap, that are not great but better than the hair pinching, metal bracelet. I haven't changed the strap, I bought the watch for what it represents, so it has stayed. Vostok are a bit of a Marmite brand, but stick to the Christopol built versions and you are likely to get addicted. Lots of custom options available.

Nice dimensions, great price, reliable, always extremely unique (even between the Vostoks themselves) and super waterproof. Strongly recommend.
Nice watch for the money, strap was too small for me which is the same with most watches, i have changed the strap to a bracelet in gold colour and it looks fab, watch keeps decent time and no battery to change, as it's mechanical movement, i would not hesitate to buy another, in a different colour oan design, there are a few to choose from.

Well I finally have a Vostok Amphibia and find it a little bit cheap. Perhaps that is my first impression. I collect watches and used to have a Poljot with better quality.Any way I needed the famous Vostok. Now I want to mod it. Let's say the watch is everything you read but you don't belueve it until you have it. The bezel does not stay put, it does'nt click. How can it be used for diving? Good conversational piece and so far is keeping excellent time.
