Having never bought a Chinese replica guitar, I was pretty skeptical. I opted to have a custom finish and it turned out really nice. Not only does it look great, but it plays great too! The fret work was done well. It was setup pretty well. Intonation was good, string height was good, nut was cut at the right depth.
My biggest worry was that it would look good, like most Chinese guitars, but not play well. I can tell you that it does play well. The pickups sound alright and all the hardware works as it should.
There were some blemishes in the binding but doesn't affect playability and you would really have to look to find them. The body of this guitar was three pieces and the neck was mostly one piece (joint at the body had two pieces). Again doesn't affect playability, just cosmetic. Inlays on the neck were pretty good. I had one that wasn't set in all the way.
Overall, I would recommend these guitars. I would buy another.
