This is a beautiful set of 4 vintage / antique ivory linen napkins with hand embroidery, cutwork, and a pulled thread / hardanger embroidery. Ivory linen. Taupe embroidery in very fine perle cotton. Satin stitch geometric motifs, with little eyelets in tiny buttonhole stitches. Diagonal line of pulled thread embroidery at corner. Cutwork with "bars" done in buttonhole stitch. The hems are hand done pulled thread work. Very fine hand stitched rolled hems. 16" square. They look like the 1920's - 1930's to me. In excellent, flawless condition. From a smoke-free home.
