No fleabites, cracks, chips or crazing. Could be missing a lid, we aren't sure. This Ceramic Hand Thrown Bean Pot sports a homey country kitchen design that stays current over time, and is sleek and simple. It is a very solid piece with no chips, cracks, crazing, or fleabites. In fact we are surprised that it is in such good condition since the bah relief on the front sticks out for nearly an inch. We suspect it might have had a lid at one time but we aren't sure of that. If a lid is needed, a large cork would make a natural substitute and could be painted with acrylic craft paint to mimick the colors of the pot. We are calling this a bean bot because of the stubby shape but it could easily lend itself to be used as a vase for flowers with large floral heads such as a few sprigs of white hydrangea. The texture on the pot is the type that is hand thrown with the potters fingers creating ridges along the entire surface as the potters wheel turned. The applique on the front is quite large and covers one third of the pot and solidly adhered. It includes two red apples and multiple green leaves.
