Originally discovered in 2010 in the small town of Epfig, in the Alsace-Lorraine region of France, these coins were part of 110 kg of Roman treasure hidden away in three large ceramic pots. For over 1600 years, these coins were buried and kept in stunning condition. This Roman Coin of Constantius II has been graded in Ch AU (Choice About Uncirculation) condition by NGC. It is truly rarest of Ancient coins to have a pedigree stretching to the original time of coin in circulation including original find spot! Obverse: CONSTANTINVS IVN NOB C, Unabridged legend: Constantinus Iunior Nobilissimus Caesar Translation: The noble caesar Constantinus the Young (Junior). Laureate and cuirassed bust of Constantine II right, seen from the front. Reverse: CAESARVM NOSTRORVM / VOT ? V ~ Translation: Caesarum Nostrorum / Vot (-is) V (= quinquennalibus): "Wishes for the 5th reign anniversary of our dear cesars". VOT?V within Wreath; mintmark RS in exergue--Rome mint mark. Ref.
