Seo meta description from chatgpt

I updated my SEO with some chat GPT prompts. I’d recommend doing the same. Also, if you aren’t sure what to put for a description it helps to use chat GPT to at least get an outline.
So for mine, I had a really basic “Selling any and all boutique, cult, and horror movies for over 20 years. Spend over $50 and get free shipping.”
I asked GPT for “I need a meta description with many tags for my cult movie store including the names of the most popular cult and boutique labels and movie titles available on blu-ray or dvd”
The more detailed the better. It gave me [URL removed]

Are u doing the free trial and if so, what are u thinking of bumping it up to after?

@EmpressDepot-if I may respond to that question [URL removed] I’d rather spend $20/mth for ChatGPT or similar, Perplexity AI, than for the same $ on Bonanza listing fees. ;) But I say this because my non-ecommerce work benefits more from these tools, at least so far. How are others using for ecomm?

In other news, it appears the minding-its-own-business “colon” punctuation mark offends Bonanza as a “URL removed”. LOL

I use just the free version. It’s more or less the same, just missing some features I think. There is also Google’s Gemini that can do the same thing.

So using this takes your description and it elaborate it and at the same time makes the description SEO friendly and rich in meta descriptions. Sorry, I’m trying to understand. I feel like I am but will see what you say. If this is the case I will definitely be trying it out.

PostcardDepot, I apologize. I accidentally overlooked your comments before.

“But I say this because my non-ecommerce work benefits more from these tools, at least so far.” Do you have your own website, @PostcardDepot? d?

EmpressDepot says: April 21, 2025

Oops, sorry. You say non ecommerce. But what do you have that is non ecommerce?

EmpressDepot says: April 23, 2025

I did what you did Gravity and took how I’ve been introducing my company and placed it in the search box and it made mine sound better. The first sentence that it created was this here in my next comment :

“If you’re seeking a curated selection of vintage and modern products for the entire family” I am going to add this to the introduction of myself.

“What is a meta description?”

A meta description element is a short snippet that summarizes a webpage’s content. It appears below the title in search engine result pages (SERPs) and helps users decide whether to click.

Meta descriptions also appear in social media previews, making them essential for attracting attention. However, search engines may sometimes replace your meta description with your page content if it matches a user’s query better.

“Why won’t Google use my meta description?”

Google might rewrite your meta description if :

It is missing or poorly written. Google rewrites meta descriptions to ensure they are relevant and useful
It doesn’t align with the user’s search intent
The page covers multiple topics, prompting Google to select content from the page itself

“Example of meta description in SERPs (search engine results page)”

The meta description appears as part of your SERP snippet, just below the page’s link and clickable title tag. In this example, the words after the date are what Google is showing as a meta description tag for this nature website in [URL removed]

Yeah, but you can’t edit that on a site like this.

EmpressDepot says: April 23, 2025

You are correct. But, using a tool to help with description writing will help to prompt the brain with new keyword and keyword phrases. We do not have to take the entire description that it writes for us but there surely are keywords/phrases that are useful that will come out of it and Google…

EmpressDepot says: April 23, 2025

and Google will crawl our listings if we have good descriptions with us using good SEO techniques….keywords, keyword phrases.

EmpressDepot says: April 23, 2025

Go to google . com and put chat gpt in the search box then click on “Official ChatGPT website.” Next, type in something like this into chatGPT’s search box… “igloo hallmark christmas ornament” It brings up at least a few rich keywords and phrases.

EmpressDepot says: April 23, 2025

Personally, I do not like all the fluff and like some sellers say some people read it and some do not but there is info that can be taken from chatgpt and be put to use. Bonanza shared something similar to this a while back. My listings could use some help.

EmpressDepot says: April 23, 2025

This could also be used to embellish listings for social media. Make the listings sound more enticing so that someone might click on a social media link to go to the listing. I’d much rather have Google not to have to change my descriptions in order to show my listing on google . com

What are you even talking about?

Bonanza has an option to edit our SEO meta description?
On a store wide or per listing basis?

Where are these options?
