Question about best offer

I don’t usually offer best offers on items….but i was just going thru my one booth here and saw i had a couple of them checked, and they had prices in them….Like for instance, i had one item $75.00 and there was an amount in the offer box of $50. does that mean someone was going to make an offer but abandoned their cart since the offer never came thru to me?

NO

If it is in the offer box when in editing mode..that at one time you put in that $50.00 would be the lowest offer you would accept for the item.

If that box is filled in and you have Best Offer selected for that item, and the offer comes from someone that is = to or greater than the amount in the best offer box, then the sale will automatically go through without waiting for you to approve the offer…

So, if you ever decide to do best Offer (OBO) and have that box filled out, make sure that whatever price you put in, will cover shipping

Hmmm, ok. I dont remember putting in the lowest offer but i may have without realizing it. Thanks ccmom. But i generally dont like obo, one time on bonz someone sent over a ridiculously low offer, and never paid. Seems like a waste of time to me.

Did you accept the offer, if not, then they could not pay and if the offer was too low, you can deny or counter…this particular step was added in, so that buyers would not have to wait for approval if the offer met the min, but yes, lots of times buyers don’t come back once offer is accepted
