If item is on reserve and ....

Good morning all,

Hope everyone’s Labor Day is safe and happy! MANY thoughts and prayers to everyone Harvey affected.

I understand putting an item on reserve, takes it out of the active listing and no one can see it but me. My question is a what if ..

What if say the item has been posted on social media and someone clicks on the link? Will they see “No such URL”? Or does Bonanza put something up like, “item no longer available, but you might like these”?

I have some major housekeeping to do in several categories, and fear if I put item in reserve, potential customer will get the URL not found, which I don’t want.

And, if items are on reserve, can you make bulk edits?

Your input will help me determine the best course of action.

Here is a listing that I have on reserve.

Let me know what you find out. I do not know either.

And yes, you can do bulk editing on reserved listings. Since I have several listings on reserve and need to change out the whole template, I did a practice with bulk text editing and it worked fine :)

[URL removed] I am going to be going into some reserved listings to work on today. I will not touch this listing until I see that you have responded to your thread :)

Thank you.. it says “That item could not be found, We’ve search our inventory for similar items below” It does not show your booth or items.

Bonanza needs to fix that. It should take them to YOUR booth. In my opinion

I agree that if the item shows as not found, the shopper should be pointed to our booth.

[URL removed] Good luck with your editing. It is a lot of work but you’ll feel so much better afterwards…I’ve got 39 more listings to do and cannot wait. Yippee.

When listing is not available, logically, search results show to buyers similar items from all booths. In Your case, it’s automatically set to “Vintage Avon Blue” items (see there the main search window). If the originally search booth have more the same kind of items, they will/should also appear

It’s centered/based not on the booth, but on the item a buyer is looking for.

Would be perfect, though, to have this info “That item could not be found in the EmpressDepot’s both. We’ve searched our inventory for similar items below.” and the name of shop to be an active link. customers can decide, if they want to visit that particular store or to check other similar item.
