How many discounts do buyers get when purchasing items?

I have a 10% off coupon for items and 10% off if someone spends $150 or more. My issue is do buyers get a total of 20% or 1 or the other if they purchase $150 or more.. I had an buyer get both…

I had the same thing happen to me a couple of months ago. I had a 10% coupon and 10% off $100 and the buyer got 20% off his total. So now if I have a coupon runnibg, I remove the $100 or more, so they only get one not both.

There will be a cumulative effect…it is best to discontinue one form of discount while another is active…or to always keep that in mind when setting up coupons…
