I was going to post about this yesterday. Google views have been showing zero and yet, I got a sale and stats still showed as zero but the sale shows it came from Google shopping….so peeps are still coming in from GS.

YES – and the same holds true of everyone I talked with on the Bay. Almost nothing since December. Not even seasonal purchases.
The 3 big answers are –
inflation is sucking the life out of frivolous spending.
Second is shipping costs too much,
followed by “don’t trust USPS” to make delivery.

Covid buyers mania and recovery along with recession has beaten the crap out of local auctions, flea markets and even Marketplace.

So we either hang on for dear life, or close our doors and stores.
I’m choosing to move to Bonanza instead of Bay – and maybe find some fresh fishing grounds.

But as always – I could be wrong. GOOD LUCK to you all!

Are they saying we are in a recession now??

EmpressDepot says: May 04, 2023

We are not quite there in a recession yet. Sure hope to not be.

[URL removed] You should see the flea markets where I live. They used to be so BIG and now they are so much smaller. It is sad. Never thought what was once so active would be so opposite.

To Answer Brilliantly

Remember these tips:

  • Use links to other sources to support your opinions
  • Use examples where possible
  • Put yourself in the inquirers shoes: what extra info would be helpful?

Should I post a comment or an answer?

You can only post one answer, so make it count. Maybe your reply is more fitting as a comment instead?

Post an answer for:

  • Replies that directly and specifically answer the original question

Post a comment for:

  • "Thanks," "Me too," "I agree," or "Works for me" types of replies
  • When you would like the original poster to provide more details
  • When you have more to add to someone else's question or answer
