Mindy Louu, our founder, was on the verge of completing her diploma at Canada’s leading academy for Make-Up Artistry and Design, covering everything from hairstyling, fashion, theatre, film, to special effects and creature design, spanning the glamorous to the gory. She was thrilled to start working on film sets, especially in SFX makeup, but her timing couldn’t have been worse. Then COVID-19 struck, bringing the world, including Toronto, to a standstill with a complete lockdown.

At this point, Mindy was faced with two challenges: finding a job and staying connected with the makeup community, all while adhering to safety measures and avoiding direct contact with clients, whom she greatly missed.

This led to the birth of First Class Beauty Co. Mindy created a makeup line to share her passion for makeup with everyone, from busy mothers, beginners just learning the ropes, to professional makeup artists (MUAs) seeking to offer high-quality, durable cosmetics to their clients, ensuring a top-tier, luxurious experience.

Now, everyone can achieve a beautiful and effortless makeup look at home without any hassle. But for Mindy, being hassle-free was not enough. As a devoted animal lover, she insisted on a cruelty-free product line.

Before turning to makeup artistry, Mindy worked as a Medical Esthetician. This dual experience informed the creation of First Class Beauty Co’s products, combining the best of makeup and skincare to guarantee top-quality cosmetics that truly work.

Her background in makeup artistry helped her understand the colors and application techniques that consumers desire, while her expertise in skincare informed her about the right and wrong ingredients for cosmetics, ensuring high quality and optimal performance.

Over the last ten years, Mindy has taken all the feedback, needs, and desires from her clients and addressed them in her work, culminating in her pride and joy—First Class Beauty Co, now available for you to experience.
