For every skateboard that you buy, a tree will be planted!
Where?
In North America, South America, Asia, and Africa.
How?
We found this amazing non-profit to sponsor with each of our sales. It’s called One Tree Planted and, from all the way up in Vermont, they work with amazing reforestation organizations around the world that need financial support to help them get more trees in the ground.
Most of their projects help with restoration from forest fires and floods, as well as creating jobs, building communities, and protecting habitat for biodiversity.
They pool the donations for each project and send the funds to reforestation partners, whom they vet to ensure a tree survival rate of 80-90%. Depending on the project, they choose the best tree species to plant and work with local communities to get them in the ground.
Why?
As an environmentally conscious company, we source our products only from easily replenishable bamboo, which is the fastest growing plant in the world. According to the Guinness World Records, you can actually hear some species of bamboo growing up to 2.91 feet in a single day. That means it grows almost 1.5 inches every hour!
They say the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now. We are humbled to be able to contribute in any small way we can.
