**N64 has long been the holy grail of emulation. That goal has remained elusive for just as long. However, enough progress has been made to justify the addition of nearly the entire library to the system.
What this means:
A good portion of the N64 library will play with minimum playback hiccups. Some will still suffer from the occasional scratchy, stuttering audio and choppy video, while others, including popular favorite Super Mario 64, playback nearly flawlessly.
What this doesn’t mean:
Although nearly the whole N64 library is accounted for, not every game will perform so admirably. Playback hiccups remain for some. There may still be games that do not play at all (the dreaded black load screen). There may be others that play far too slowly. The games with known issues that make them unplayable have been removed, but it would not be shocking to learn that some slipped through (there are 300 of them after all!). Remapping the controls is required. It's very quick and simple. Instructions are provided!
