I have taken this print out of the frame.... the print and mat is mounted on oversized board. the brown paper is not fully attached on the back.
From my group of Eidenberger prints, I will be listing 5 others: Eisenstadt; Linz; Klagenfurt; Kitzbuhel and Graz. I believe these were done in the 1940's - 1950's. VG+ condition. frame may have some small nicks NOTES: Mr. Eidenberger was an Austrian born painter and etcher. He did a variety of etchings of Vienna,
Austria, Spain, Germany, United States, Italy & others. He was greatly influenced by the Austrian etcher, Luigi Kasimir. In 1973, he visited the US and completed etchings of California, Virginia, Utah and other states. In 1977, the Austrian government gave him the honorary title of Professor of the Arts for his contribution to the advancement of fine art. Mr. Eidenberger passed away in 1991 at the age of 92. |
