        Duneyrr the Piercer.
In Norse mythology, four harts eat among the branches of the World Tree Yggdrasill. According to the Poetic Edda, the stags crane their necks upward to chomp at the branches.
Duneyrr is the second of the four stags, whose antlers pierce the black veil and allow the rain to fall from the sky, where it nourishes the roots of the World Tree.

Keith Hull, is the original founder of STONE CULTURE. His works are as brilliant as the stone they are made from, and his work is highly sought after. This AMAZING knife was made with only the best possible products. The stone is a natural volcanic rock called Obsidian, that is only mined in the High Desert Plains of Eastern Oregon. Obsidian is much sharper than most flints, and can be resharpened easily, although this piece is for display purposes only.

AMERICAN LITHICS has been  recognized with many awards and honors. Keith Hull,  our original Brother In Arms, is considered by most to be the greatest living flat knapper in the world today. His works are collected  throughout the international art world, and  are on display in many galleries and museums throughout the USA, Europe, Asia, and Australia.
The sophistication of his work  is unbelievably unique. His flake lines are uniform and exact, giving his pieces an authentic and traditional look and feel. His work rivals that of the late Grey Ghost, as he is able to replicate many styles and techniques of flint knapping.  Recipient of much praise and many coveted awards, Keith has been instrumental in establishing guidelines and regulations that govern the sales of Native American artifacts. The original formation of AMERICAN LITHICS was  to enforce integrity in the representation of arrowheads and other stone blades. In 2002, we so impressed the executives of, that new regulations were formed to prevent the sale of fake artifacts , and preserve the rights of Native American Cultures.  He has been  centerfold featured  in several flint knapping magazines, and  has spoken on many circuits throughout the United States.
A knife of this caliber is suitable for any chieften or shaman. In the old times, a work of art such as this would have been traded for a Pony, or several wives. It is definitely the one that you have been waiting for, and would be appropriate as the highlighted centerpiece to any collection.

AMERICAN LITHICS is comprised of a large and diverse  group of international and domestic flint knappers, collectors, and enthusiasts.  We welcome new members daily, and our fellowship of integrity has never ceased growing. If you're interested in joining our family, please feel free to contact us:
    Other Members of American Lithics:

Kenneth Eley is an amazing artist that hails from the small town of Castledale Utah. New to American Lithics, but not new to knapping, Ken originally started as a percussion knapper, and learned the flat knapping technique under the tutelage of World Renown Keith Hull. "I think of myself as a story teller, and the rock that I use is the canvas that I use to tell the story. AMERICAN LITHICS is a brotherhood to me, and I've found inspiration meeting knappers from all over the world."  Born in 1985, Ken can trace his ancestry back to the moorlands of Scottland. His work contains many different materials, including Obsidian from around the world, Novaculite, Flint, Chert, Agate, and other more exotic materials.

Neil Fehr of Plum Coulee Canada is a long time member and friend to AMERICAN LITHICS. His carvings are typically of Native American effigies and lifestyle that are nothing short of breath taking! Just as highly sought after as Keith Hull, when these two put together a joint project, the world stands still in anticipation! Neil's mediums include many exotic materials, such as Amboyna, Springbok, and Tusk, as well as domestic materials such as Moose, Whitetail, and Elk Antler.

Doug Rich is a fellow flat knapper who also studied under the tutelage of Keith Hull. Newer to the knapping community, Doug aspires to greatness and it shows in his art! His works are easily identified by  enthusiasts because of his oblique knapping scars, flat knapping transitional shaping, and daring designs.  Doug works with all manners of rock from Flint Ridge Flint to Indiana Hornstone,  as  well as  Obsidian, Opal, and Chert. You can't go wrong buying a Doug Rich functional art piece!

Ray Hill   of Montrose Missouri  is a powerful knapper from Montrose Missouri. His precision blades are as sharp and perfect as they come. His scar lines are uniform in width and length, leaving you astounded that such a blade can be created from stone. His blades alone often reach prices of  $199.00  to $399.00 each. Ray has been acclaimed as  one of the top 3 knappers in the United States  of America. He works with more unusual and rare kinds of Obsidian, ranging from Midnight Lace, Rainbow,  Silver Sheen, Gold Sheen, Velvet, and  Borealis Obsidians.

Karen Dixon of Washington State - Karen is a precision flint knapper who prefers to work with Obsidian, but also knaps Flint, Chert, Opal, and Carerra Glass. Her work is simply astounding, and is characterized by wide initial flake patterns followed by micro flaking for a tight serration. Her art is very popular in Germany, France, Italy, and throughout Europe, where she has many pieces holding high honors on display. Karen's work is typically by custom order only, as she is so collectible that she is often booked months in advance. Life long friend of AMERICAN LITHICS, it only made sense to take the next leap and make Karen a solid base of our foundation.

Don Hustie - Don is a registered member of the Cherokee Nation. Don's works are very traditional, and it shows in his incredibly powerful blades. Holding a point knapped by Don, you are hard pressed to discern it from an original artifact unless you look for the diamond etched signature and COA number. Don uses all natural Antler billets, Hammer Stones, and Antler tines to create his work in the same method that his people have done for countless millennium. Don was born in 40's, and is a very wonderful human being. Often donating his work to children to encourage this wonderful hobby that we all enjoy so much.
