This is a wonderful figural brooch featuring a sleek running Greyhound Dog. The clear white rhinestones are accented with red enamel for the eye, collar and the strap of the jacket or racing silk. It measures just less than 2 inches long by ½ of an inch tall. The brooch is not signed and there are no markings on the back.
This brooch is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. In the photos some of the rhinestones have a yellow look to them; you don’t see this without the magnification. With the naked eye they all look shiny and sparkling clear. It has a roll over clasp that works just fine. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.
This would be perfect for any dog lover or racing fan. With the Greyhound tracks closing around the country this will be very collectible. What a wonderful gift this would make for someone who is involved in the rescue and adoption of the Italian Greyhounds from the race tracks.
