These 8GB drives come partitioned and formatted as 1 GB USB-ZIP drives ( 1024/64/32 C/H/S on the 4th partition).
Some older BIOSs require this arrangement to boot from a USB disk. Current BIOSs should see it as a USB-HDD.
It is formatted as FAT16 on the first 1024 cylinders. Typical read speed is 14 - 17 MB/s . Typical write speed is 3 - 4.5 MB/s. Actual drive capacity is 8 GB's, the unused space can be seen and accessed in Linux.


With version 4.8.1 of the preloaded SystemRescueDisk  you will be able to recover lost files, lost partitions, fix a corrupt MBR, re-create or resize partitions on drives, edit files on ext2/ext3/ext4, ReiserFS, btrfs, xfs, jfs, FAT12/16/32 and NTFS file systems, 
shred digital files, wipe entire drives, format drives, clone/image drives for multiple installations, browse anonymously, search the web for answers or to download drivers/programs and so much more . 

Also included in the preloaded software is  a current version of CHNTPW (Change NT Password). A bootable recovery utility allowing anyone (even with minimal experience) to remove a password or re-enable a locked account on Windows 2000 , XP , 2003 , Vista , 7 , 2008 , 8 , 8.1 or 10. It will also display the Digital Product ID used to activate your version of Windows. Also includes a registry editor, allowing mistakes to be repaired on an unbootable Windows installation.
