I have been collecting sun tea jars for a few years. I have too many and need to find homes for them. All of my sun tea jars have been hand washed with a dish washing soap and sterilized with a mild bleach solution. It is during this process that the jars are inspected for cracks, chips and for leaks in the spigot. They measure approximately 10.5" tall and 6" round. They can be used all year round and for making sun tea during summer, fruit punch, lemonade, Kool aid, keeping cold water in the fridge, warm apple cider and for any cold or warm beverage you desire. The sun tea jar will dispense beverages through the spigot at the bottom off of a table and from the fridge or, you can pour through the capped lid on top. They are classy for taking to gatherings and special occasions while each jar has a convenient carrying handle at the top.
1 gallon Glass jar is used for safe storage of drinking water, as well as tea, juices, milk and other food & dairy storage applications.
The carry handle and Pour lid allows for convenient storage and use.
Most nutritionists recommend drinking containers comprised of either Glass or Stainless Steel for storing and consuming drinking water.
Simple reasons why Glass is a better choice over plastic containers (PET, Nalgene, Lexan, HDPE):
Taste. Many plastics give off objectionable taste.
Environmentally friendly. Plastic is a non-renewable source, petroleum based and does not biodegrade. Further, PVC manufacturing releases dioxins.
Plastic wears down and is subject to harboring bacteria.
