Item description for Vintage Dolphin Brooch Pin Attwood Sawyer Enamel Rhinestones Signed

This is a gorgeous and elegant rhinestone and enamel dolphin brooch/pin made by the Attwood and Sawyer Jewelry Company. They were founded in the 1950s in Wales and they are known for designing high quality fashion and costume jewelry. The dolphin is beautifully crafted in a gold tone metal, with blue and green enamel and accented with clear Swarovski crystals. According to their website they are “the official designer of the Royal British Legion Poppy Collection”, which has raised millions of pounds for the charity by selling Poppy brooches to celebrities such as Angelina Jolie and Lady Gaga. They also made jewelry for the Dynasty or Dallas TV series in the 1980s. The brooch is signed on the back A&S. It measures approximately 1 ½ inches wide and 1 ½ inches tall.

This striking dolphin is in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. The gold tone metal is bright and shiny, there is no missing or chipped enamel and all the rhinestones or crystals are intact, sparkling and nice and clear. It looks like it was never worn; there are no visible signs of wear. It has a pin and rollover catch on the back, which functions nicely. This will look stunning with any outfit you choose to wear it with. It will look great for a fancy evening out, or with your favorite pair of jeans for a casual day of shopping. If you had a plain black evening bag, this brooch pinned to the purse would make it look totally different. The perfect gift for any dolphin lover or collector of fine figural jewelry.
