Chanticleer : A Portrait

Chanticleer, the Grammy Award-winning male vocal ensemble, celebrates its 25th anniversary season with this special compilation disc. Music Director Joseph Jennings made the selections personally, drawing on Chanticleer's array of two dozen best-selling recordings spanning the centuries. Exclusive Teldec artists since 1994, the 12-voice ensemble is shown to maximum advantage in favorites from its sacred and secular repertoire, love songs, early American hymnody, folksong and popular song on this disc, part of a new 4-CD contract with Teldec. Much of the repertoire is featured in programs on Chanticleer's 75-concert jubilee touring season. Also included is a never-before-released bonus track, Vince Guaraldi's "Christmas Time Is Here."
