This is a Ceramic Telephone Pole High Tension Wire Insulator (#0135) It is quite large 4 ¾ inches tall 5 inches wide and weighs 3 pounds 9 ounces.  It is threaded, is dark brown in color. It is a great conversation piece, also can be used as a door stopper or paperweight, unless you have high-tension wires that you have to take care of. There is an oval indention, which looks like the letters S 8 T on the outside. Two are available. On the other one you can’t make out the lettering. It is in excellent condition, no cracks or chips.
