This adorable vintage hand blown art glass dog set is up for adoption and looking for a new home. The dogs are most likely from the 1950s or 1960s when these little guys were so popular.

The large dog measures approximately 2 1/2 inches long and 2 inches tall. It has floppy ears and is brown and white with black painted eyes. It even has a little collar around its neck. It reminds me of a Great Dane although it could be any type of Hound Dog. The smaller dog is approximately 2 inches long and 1 1/2 inches tall. It could easily be the puppy of the big dog and has the same coloring and the same design, they were obviously done by the same artist.

This is an excellent vintage set with no cracks or chips. The larger dog has a few tiny black spots that look like some of dark coloring may have spotted a little. I did not try to clean it off because I believe it is original to the piece being handmade (you can see on the back leg in the picture). The eyes are also not painted in perfect circles. This set would be a great addition to your collection of dog figurines. If you know someone who is a breeder of Great Danes this would be a great stocking stuffer for them, and would also make a perfect gift for your favorite Veterinarian.
