Did you See all the fashion magazines , embellished and crystal or glass beaded tops are big.

This is an amazing vintage magnificient couture all totally hand made entirely of Gold colored glass beads. This was not made on a loom , which would have been a painstaking long process. When viewed under magnification you can see that it is made entirely of glass beads which looks to be a flat square stich . This type of stich dates as far back as the 15th century England In those days pone beads were woven onto another bead one by one by hand and so on and so forth. That way only a very experienced and qualified beader can create this jacket using only the gold beads and threads with a thin strip of ribbed ribbon along the edges to complete the design. THus the beads lay right agains your skin. You cannot imagine the numbers of hours and days it must have taken for the painstakingly difficult work to bead this one tiny bead at a time to make a jacket like this, that is quite strong , amazingly beautiful and heavy. it feels like wearing liquid heavy gold if that makes any sense. it is heavy and the beads absorb your body heat as they hug your body. Due to the ribbon trim and the style , this jacket is tentatively dated to probably from 1930-1950's. The beads look like Czech glass beads but i am not sure the country where this was originally made. It is almost like a peice of artwork. It takes amazing artistry to be able to conceptulaize and execute the beading to make this jacket. Only the richest of the rich could afford a jacket like this then. In all my years of collecting i have only found one complete intact jacket made from this painstaking proces and it is this jacket. This cannot be made by a machine.

I have never seen anything like this before and i collect a lot of Couture fashion. See pictures. Can be worn with a black ball skirt or dressed down with jeans. Fabulous unique and you wont see it again. This is one of my favorite peices. A tad heavy. In excellent vintage condition, did not notice any missing crystals. Looks to be amazingly all intact and can actually be worn, not just kept as a collector item. This reminds me of earlier Paco Rabanne. Very classy elegant timeless and unique piece, will not find any more like it, Looks fabulous with the leather pants and will work too with a ball skirt. No Lining and no closures

Condition: Excellent to Mint vintage condition

I will say this will fit a sz Xs 0-small 2 so as not to pull on the jacket. Women back in those days were so tiny, it is unreal, the model is a size 0 and wears victoria's secret 34b bra, with waist 23 inches , hips 34-35 inches and is 5ft 6-7 inches.

the approx measurements of the jacket are as follows : Chest size about 32 pulled close and about 36 wide open. shoulder to shoulder about 13 inches , waist about 32 inches and length about 25 inches

.

Very Fabulous and Unique rare top For a Great Price!!
