This is an adorable vintage Tropical Fish Brooch or Pin with loads of personality ready to swim into your life. It almost looks like it is smiling. The textured three dimensional body is covered with tiny mini light green gemstones, that I believe are Peridot. It measures approximately 1 ½ inches tall from tip of tail to bottom of face and 1 ¼ inches wide. It is not signed.

It is in great vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There is a tiny bit of wear on the roll over clasp in one spot and a tiny dot of missing gold paint on the top fin edge. You don’t see it without magnification. I don’t know if any of the tiny chips are missing, there are slight spaces, which could just be the placement of the stones, it does not affect the overall appearance. Please look at the photos as they are part of the description and show the details better than I can describe.

The brooch would make a great addition to your collection of wearable art. It is perfect for any fish lover.  If you were born in the month of August, Peridot is your birthstone.
