Colors of Germany by HOlly LIttlefield

Grade:  4-8

Summary:  Similar to "Count Your Way Through...." series, this book uses colors to teach children the history, culture, and geography of Germany. Each color word is written in German and English to represent something about the country of Germany. For example, Neuschwanstein Castle is represented by the color weiss (white) for its white walls. The Grimm Brothers are introduced by the color rosa (pink) for the color of the witch's eyes in the famous tale of Hansel and Gretel.

A truly interesting approach to any social studies program of European countries.
