1925 was the year Columbia switched from the old method of acoustically recorded pressings to the new electric recording process licensed from Western Electric. This company has a long history, dating back to 1888, and was one of the "Big Three" in recording companies, competing with Edison and Victor. They remain the oldest continually used brand name in recorded sound, now owned by Sony Music since 1988.

This mid-1940's recording is in superb condition! Grading at near-mint - as good as they come! Nearly flawless in all respects. Sounds as nice as the day it was pressed!

Side CO 38297 plays the fox trot, "The Chowder Social", with a vocal chorus by Tony Pastor and the Clooney Sisters. Side CO 38299 features the melody, "It's Like Taking Candy From A Baby", with Tony joined by Rosemary Clooney in the vocal. Both fox trots are performed by the fabulous Tony Pastor and his Orchestra, and are OUTSTANDING 1940's Big Band sounds!
