This is a lovely enameled brooch or pin that measures approximately 1 ½ inches in diameter. The enamel work is intricate and detailed and was applied by hand. The blossoms are all bright primary colors, reds, blues, greens, and yellows. It has a blue/gray speckled back with a glued on clasp. The symmetrical design has an eye-catching appeal to it and the shapes in this design are whimsical with flowers and leaves. It has a red and white scalloped design border. It is signed on the back Austria. It is not signed by the artist, but reminds me of jewelry I have seen made by Michaela Frey, it is a nice quality piece.

The brooch is in excellent vintage condition as you can see by the enlarged photographs. There are no chips or cracks in the enamel. The colors of the brooch are vibrant and the locking rollover c-type closure is in good working order.

It is a lovely handmade treasure to add to your collection of Austrian jewelry and European Folk Art.
