Pictorial hardcover with no dust jacket is a darling story and adventure of Edith on holiday with her bear friends. Written by Dare Wright, a professional photographer, wrote a series of children's book about a lonely doll who befriends a Teddy bear and his father bear. The books became so popular that the Madame Alexander Doll Company produced an "Edith, the Lonely Doll" in 1958 (Ms. Wright had used a made over Lenci doll to depict Edith for the photos in her book). The popularity of the first book encouraged the production of a series of more books & adventures with Little Bear. Pages are filled with charming black and white photos by the author of her doll on adventures.
