    20 Gal. Pot - 9 Tbls.

For bedding plants apply uniformly to the soil surface at a rate of 1/4 lb. (1/4 cup) per 10 square feet. Till lightly into top 1/2 in or 1 in of the treated area if tilling will not damage plant roots.

Note: Use 1/2 recommended rates on sensitive plants such as rhododendrons, azalea, ferns, etc.

NEW PLANTINGS

POTTED PLANTS: Incorporate uniformly throughout the soil at the rate of 4 to 6 ounces ( 1/4 to 1/2 cupfuls) per cubic foot of soil.

BEDDING PLANTS: Mix with soil to a depth of 4 to 6 inches at the rate of 3/4 to 1 lb. (3/4 to 1 cupful) per 10 square feet.

NOTE: Plants started from seed, propagated, or young seedlings should be treated initially with 1/2 the above rate.

PETUNIAS, MARIGOLDS, IMPATIENS, and OTHER FLOWER TRANSPLANTS:
When planting, apply 1/2 teaspoon under each cell-pack plant, or 1 teaspoon under a 4 in pot size transplant. Water well.

TOMATOES, PEPPER, and OTHER VEGETABLE TRANSPLANTS: When planting, apply 3 to 5 teaspoons under each good root transplant, then water. If reapplication is necessary, the surface applies 5 teaspoons of controlled-release granules per plant.

NOTE: When applying controlled-release granules to flower and vegetable transplants, make a planting hole. Then apply the recommended amount of controlled-release granules to the bottom of the hole. Set the transplant in the hole without plunging the plant into or through the granules. Fill in around the plant with soil mixture and water thoroughly.

NOTE: The polymer coating technology is based on changes in soil temperature to release the nutrients from the prill. The 3-4 month rating is based on 70 degrees F. Shorter terms can be expected in warmer growing conditions, longer terms in cooler growing conditions.
