Despite their formidable appearance, the Stegosaurus was a (presumable) gentle herbivore. The large, kite-shaped upright plates along the back (aka spikes) were for defense against their carnivorous cousins. The Stegosaurus was introduced to children's playrooms in the late 1950s by Marx and has kept a foothold in their imaginations ever since!

This listing is for a lot of seven (7) Stegosaurus figures. These guys are unmarked but are clear recasts of the Marx version (or possibly the MPC version, which copied Marx). They are all cast in plastic, each in a slightly different shade of green and gray. The sizes vary, as well. The largest figure is approximately 3.75 inches long, while the smallest comes in around 2.5 inches long. They all sport various hand-painted color combos, to boot. These guys are in good vintage condition with play wear. The larger dark green figure has what might be chew marks to the tail.
