Vintage L E Smith Blue Cobalt Glass Lidded Canister/ Storage Jar 1970's MCM.  It measures approximately 10 1/2" Tall (lid on) x 9" Tall (lid off) x 5 1/2" D at the top and the bottom.  It is super heavy and weighs 4 lbs. 1 oz without packing materials.  This was made and distributed by L E Smith in approximately 1970's.  Very Mid-Century Modern piece.  It looks like an old Milk Can so it would also go well with a Farmhouse or Cottage feel.  This piece is beautiful enough to display and use anywhere- kitchen, bathroom, foyer, den, study, etc...  It is also versatile enough to use as Display, cookie jar, Canister, Storage (keys, etc..), Apothecary Jar or just as a collectible with your other Canisters.  Condition is preowned with no chips or cracks.  Great shape for the 1970's.  Lid fits securely but does have a small tear in the plastic (see photo).  This does not affect the way the lid fits.  T4
