The Twilight Zone is a nationally syndicated radio drama series featuring radio play adaptations of the classic television series The Twilight Zone first produced for the British station BBC Radio 4 Extra in October 2002 with the final show released in 2012 for 176 episodes in all. Many of the stories are based on Rod Serling's scripts from the original Twilight Zone series, and are slightly expanded and updated to reflect contemporary technology and trends and the lack of a visual component. In addition to adapting all of the original episodes aired on the 1959-1964 TV series, the radio series has also adapted some Twilight Zone TV scripts which were never produced, scripts from other Serling TV productions, and new stories written especially for the radio series. The Zero Hour (aka Hollywood Radio Theater) was a 1973–74 American radio drama anthology series hosted by Rod Serling With tales of mystery, adventure and suspense, the program was broadcast for two seasons. Some of the scripts were written by Serling
The radio series debuted on September 3, 1973, in syndication, and was picked up by the Mutual Broadcasting System in December. The original format featured five-part dramas broadcast Monday through Friday with the story coming to a conclusion on Friday. Including commercials, each part was approximately 30 minutes long.
In 1974, still airing five days a week, the program changed to a full story in a single 30-minute instalment with the same actor starring throughout the week in all five programs. That format was employed from late April 1974 to the end of the series in July 1974.
Here we present on a double DVD and in MP3 format, two all time favourite radio shows; The Twilight Zone Radio Dramas and The Zero Hour, presented by Rod Serling. Both of these titles are COMPLETE with every issue. The Twilight Zone has a total of 176 episodes through 18 volumes and The Zero Hour has 130 episodes between 1974 and 1975. All together there are more than 160 hours of spooky, supernatural listening time with a titanic 306 episodes.
