Vintage 1958 MODERN BRIDE Magazine.

Here is a rare and lovely classic MODERN BRIDE Magazine from the fall of 1958, Vol 10,  #3, Beautiful Mid-Century Wedding Ideas, Gowns, Veils, Settings, Homemaking, Honeymoons, Etc

Sad to say, but Conde Nast just stopped publishing the venerable Modern Bride after nearly 100 years of flourishing and nourishing so many unrealistic dreams for millions of brides-to-be.

Nonetheless, this 278 page 10" X 13" tome is a beautiful paean to Mid-Century Wedding Ideas and Ideals: Gowns, Veils, Settings, Receptions, Honeymoons, Homemaking, etc.

Beyond the dresses and accessories there is much to be gleaned by a close reading of both the text and the advertisements wherein you can discover many interesting factoids such as how many dish towels, cocktail napkins, brooms, hat boxes ("at least 3") and all other possible home outfitting stuff you will need if you are destined to become a homemaker after being a bride.  Indispensable stuff!

My favorite article: "Make Your Marriage Last" written by a Catholic Priest, the essence of which is "Women are made to sacrifice and suffer, it is in their make-up all the way back to Eve....." You can probably see where this is going!

In very good readable condition.  Great color with very slight age fade, cover has some slight edge imperfections, spine is intact but appears a little fragile. No marks, cut pages, or other defects noted.
